Chongqing, China - 31 December 2010: a run down factory where two workers manufacture shoes. According to a report published by Bank of America Merrill Lynch's David Cui, titled 'Not So Trivial Facts', China has produced in 2010 a total of 12.6 billion pairs of shoes which means 9.4 pairs of shoes per person, compared with 1.3 pairs in the rest of the world (63.0 percent of global total).
