Nobsin, Burkina Faso - 13 May 2014: Awa Kabore, now 18, that two years ago dropped out of school to come to Nobsin to crush stones for as little as 5,000 CFA Francs (£6) a week. After a paid training in Ouagadougou, she now works in a food stall in the village. Terre des Hommes, that is working locally to raise awareness among diggers, families and village headmen, offers job alternatives and paid apprenticeships, trying to convince the youngest workers to quit the illegal mines.
